Food pantry: we have a small food pantry to provide non-perishable grocery hampers to those in need within the community of Ipswich, as well as supporting a local indigenous ministry with the provision of regular food supplies. Food hampers can to be picked up from the Abundant Life Initiative office, at 332 Ripley Road, Flinders View. As this office is not always manned, please call office on 3288 0611 prior, to arrange pickup time.
Soup kitchen: Once a fortnight, soon to be once a week, on Tuesdays from 4.30 - 6.30pm; a small team gather at Queens Park, in the center of Ipswich to cook a simple evening meal for the needy.
Family meals: We have a small supply of home made, pre-prepared frozen meals kept on site, at the Abundant Life offices, in single serve & family take-away containers given to people in need, as requested. These meals require a microwave or stove top re-heating. As our offices are not always manned, please call the office on 3288 0611 to arrange a pick up time.
Pre-Loved Clothing: A local second hand clothes shop, “Keeping up Appearances”, on Glebe Road, at Booval is happy to provide provide clothing to those in need for very reasonable prices. The Abundant life Initiative has some vouchers available, for use at Keeping Up Appearances.
